About the Artist...

Sherry Robb was born to design; her innate need to create art being very evident from a very young age. As an adult she carved a successful career in art in merchandising, making her living as a commercial designer. She honed her graphic skills working at magazine publishing and commercial print houses before starting her own successful, international marketing design business in 1997.

Recently that she began to earnestly study and practice with different mediums to find her voice as a fine artist.

“I love the tactile nature of creating with clay. The challenge of layering individually sculpted and painted items to compose a 3-dimensional representation of a forest woodland, flower garden or a seabed, for instance, is both difficult and extremely gratifying. The pieces really come to life. In nature, every single pebble and blade of grass is its own unique work of art and that’s something I aspire to communicate through my art.”
